Welcome Band Parents

First Meeting

The CSMS Band parents Association (BPA) has its first meeting on Wednesday, September 7th at 7 PM in the Band room. We look forward to seeing you there. BPA Annual Membership is $10 per student. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear our plans for the coming year and meet the Band Director, Mr. James McNeil.

Band Dues

Annual Band Dues are required for each student. The fee of $40 covers Band uniforms and covers roughly 50% of the projected Band expenses for the coming year (see the table at left). The other 50% will be covered by fund-raising activities throughout the year. CSMS Band dues are a bargain compared with the cost of nearly any other organized sport or activity.

Band DVDs

Band VDVDs are still available for the 2004-2005 school year. If you did not purchase one of these keepsakes, you can still take advantage of this opportunity and purchase a high-quality DVD for $20. All proceeds from the sale are spent on the Band. Filming of the 2005-2006 Band video has already started. For more information about Band videos contact Stacey Cipes at (954)753-7860.

Be sure to add the Band Web Site to your Web Favorites list. The site is up and running at http://theotherpages.org/band and will include news and announcements, a calendar of events, contact information, recent Band pictures, and helpful music and band references for parents and students.
