Uniforms

• 140 students have been fitted for uniforms (Tuxedo Shirts and Polo Shirts). We are arranging a fitting for the last 15 students.
• Please send in your child’s old tuxedo shirt if it no longer fits
• Annual $40 Band Dues must be paid in order for your child to receive their uniform

Drum Line

• A clinician was hired to provide instruction for Drum line participants.
• The first practice was held on September 22nd. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 AM.

Fundraising

• Get ready for Cheesecake sales, which will run from October 10th till the 20th.
• This is our single biggest fund-raising event, so we really need your participation. Products will be handed out at the BPA meeting on Thursday, November 17
• We also need volunteers for Friday ice cream sales after school from 3:15 to 4:15 PM. Please give me a call on 954-899-5248 if you can help out.

Coral Glades Football Game

• The band will play at the October 28th Coral Glades High School Football game
• This event is mandatory for 7th and 8th grade students
• 6th grade students who have reached a high enough performance level (Can play the 'Sousa Spectacular') will also be invited
• We need 6 volunteers (3 men and 3 women ) to ride on the bus , bus leaves school at 2:50 p.m.
• We also need 1-2 parents with cargo van or truck to transport equipment.

Dues REMINDER

• Some parents have still not paid the required $40 student band dues. These funds are needed for buy uniforms and fund upcoming events.
• Make checks payable to ‘CSMS BAND’ and please write the student’s name on the envelope or check .
